I worked on the problem of connecting to the shard this evening. I believe it is fixed so give it a try.
I was trying to move the Log-in block to the top left side of the page and something went wacky. It won't display properly now so I created a link in the menu to allow users to log-in. Pleasse use that until I can gt the thing working again.
Thanks.

As some or most of you know I lost a grandson recently. He drowned in a pool while on vacation with his dad (my son), mom and sister. That was a couple months ago and I had hoped that would suffice for my year's worth of trials. Oh but twas not to be.
You can find out about that in the General Discussion board of our forums. The topic "Is it alive?" addresse all you need to know to get online. Well, most of what you need to know.
Thanks to donations from "Eric/Derek Nightshade" and "Admin Brittany" we now have new hardware for our server. I should have it up and running by this coming weekend. The system is a Pentium 4 single core running at 2+ GHZ with one Gigabyte of RAM and a 140+ Gigabyte hard drive. Now it's just diing up the old server files and re-installing UO client and things should be running again.
For those who are dropping by you no doubt know that we have just changed the look of the site. Not more than a week afterward the team at Drupal.org released version 6.1 which addressed some security issues. We are now upgraded to version 6.1.
I am going to be adding a "downloads" section soon along with a "links" page and more content. I will also be looking for enhancements to the core system such as a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor for ease of text formatting.
Anyway, that's about it for now.
I have set-up this Drupal website as the front-end for Hope Lives. It is st6ill in the process of being "built" so some things just aren't here yet. I will have the forums up very soon. I managed to transfer the database from the old forums to the new Simple Machine Forums (SMF) with no loss of data apparently. This means you can log-in to the forums using your username and password. You will need to create an account on this, the main site, in order to be able to post weBlogs and content in Drupal but your forums accounts should be intact.
